文章是在酷學園看到的，原文在這邊...The *BSDstats Project 這個網站似乎要揹負起 *BSD 的名聲 XD，先參考網站說明~

The mission of this site is to compile semi-accurate numbers for advocacy and marketing of the *BSD operating systems.

More specifically, we are trying to demonstrate to hardware and software vendors out there that *BSD should be viewed as a serious operating system, not just as a hobbyist system, for support (ie. hardware drivers) purposes.

We are designing the system so that FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, and DragonFlyBSD can participate and benefit.

網站主要的用途是想要統計目前全世界使用 *BSD Operating System 的數量，更進一步的說呢，就是要告訴所有的軟硬體廠商 *BSD 不是一種只有少數人沈迷使用的 OS，而是要以很嚴謹的態度來正視 *BSD 這 OS ... 以獲得軟硬體廠商的青睞 ( 看來有些硬體的 Driver 仍不支援 *BSD )

目前主要統計 FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, 和 DragonFlyBSD 的數據 ~ 如國家地區分類的排行榜、CPU 分類、發行版分類排行榜、驅動/硬體分類排行榜，看來目前最嗆的是有 8 顆 CPU 的機器 XD

建議可以從 /usr/ports/sysutils/bsdstats 進行安裝 ~ 完成後依下列說明再操作即何

To enable the port, edit or create /etc/periodic.conf and add this line:
monthly_statistics_enable=" YES"

To enable device reporting, add this line:
monthly_statistics_report_devices=" YES"

To run it manually the first time, just run it as:
/usr/local/etc/periodic/monthly/300.statistics

目前使用數前三名是美國、巴拿馬及日本，台灣還在第七名 ~~ 大家一起幫忙推廣一下吧 :p
